Protest new concept

At the end of 2015, ALU collaborated with Protest to open its boutique concept store in Roosendaal, Netherlands.


Upon entry, you can immediately feel the contrast of the store’s versatile sportswear aesthetics. The surroundings are decorated with smoky oak panels which ties in with the ski merchandise on sale yet also appropriately compliments its surf and beachwear. Emblazoned with Protest’s logo, the store exemplifies Protest’s ability to provide its consumers with stylish and functional sportswear whatever the season.

On May 19th, MiND Magazine will organize a #MiNDTalk about “EXPERIENTIAL DESIGN IN THE MULTI-BRAND ENVIRONMENT”.


Hosted at the ALU Showroom, it will be a 45 minute panel discussion focused on the multi branded store experience with a 15 minute Q&A as well as food, drinks, music and more.


Theron Long, Creative Director of Paper Magazine will moderate that panel along with panelists,  Benjamin Fay, VP of Retail Development and Customer Experience at Birchbox, Michael Sainato, VP of Creative at Design Within Reach and Ion Metulesco, Director Architecture, Engineering & Maintenance at Printemps, Paris.

“That’s It” for Mexico

The Mexican department store mecca, Liverpool has launched their latest shop-in-shop design concept for its lifestyle brand, ‘That’s It.’ ALU worked closely with ‘That’s It’ over the past year to develop, manufacture and install the store design roll out program for the branded store environments.


SLASH can be seen in wall mounted and freestanding forms with custom wood shelves to showcase the ‘That’s it’ product and merchandise. The contrast of raw steel and wood provides a unique industrial feel.  The ALU systems allow for maximum use of the space while putting the sole emphasis on the products.

Retail Design Expo

For the second year running, ALU attended 2016’s Retail Design Expo held at The London Olympia. ALU’s booth welcomed a mix of UK and International visitors and experts from the retail design world.


Emphasizing adaptability and customization, ALU’s stand showcased a concentration of their systems and projects via a unique photographic gallery.

Rev'It’s new concept store

In August 2015, motorcycle clothing company Rev'It unveiled their showroom in Oss, Netherlands. Revit’s Creative Office conceived a new design concept for their installation which was interpreted and realized by ALU into multiple platforms including the EICMA show in Milan and upcoming stores in Europe and SiS in USA.
