The pioneering trend forecaster, Lidewij Edelkoort will be giving two talks about the symbiotic relationship between art and sport and luxury in retail.

MiND hosted its fourth #MiNDtalks at the ALU showroom in NYC on May 19th. Theron Long, Creative Director of Experiential Marketing at Paper Magazine, moderated the discussion. Panelists included Ion Metulesco, Director of Architecture, Engineering and Maintenance at Printemps, Michael Sainato, VP of Creative at Design Within Reach and Benjamin Fay, VP of Retail Development and Customer Experience at Birchbox.
The Baker Museum in Naples, Florida has recently inaugurated an exhibition dedicated to the stunning work of Belgian photographer Harry De Zitter. His career, spanning four decades, has taken him from Europe to Africa to America. In that time he has produced a vast body of work concentrating on themes ranging from politics to social-economics; this exhibition is the first retrospective of his work in his current hometown Naples.
ALU worked closely with The Baker Museum and the photographer to provide a unique solution to display the artist’s work.
At the end of 2015, ALU collaborated with Protest to open its boutique concept store in Roosendaal, Netherlands.
Upon entry, you can immediately feel the contrast of the store’s versatile sportswear aesthetics. The surroundings are decorated with smoky oak panels which ties in with the ski merchandise on sale yet also appropriately compliments its surf and beachwear. Emblazoned with Protest’s logo, the store exemplifies Protest’s ability to provide its consumers with stylish and functional sportswear whatever the season.
On May 19th, MiND Magazine will organize a #MiNDTalk about “EXPERIENTIAL DESIGN IN THE MULTI-BRAND ENVIRONMENT”.
Hosted at the ALU Showroom, it will be a 45 minute panel discussion focused on the multi branded store experience with a 15 minute Q&A as well as food, drinks, music and more.
