During Salone Internazionale del Mobile, ALU kicked off its fifth edition of ROAD – Retail Design Show in Milan, Italy.
The space showcased the illustrations and art work of graphic artist, Lorenzo Petrantoni. The installation, titled TIMELESS, featured Lorenzo’s artwork that was distinctively mounted and intertwined with ALU’s systems.
This week during Salone Internazionale del Mobile, ALU is at 5 corso Como in Milan for ROAD- Retail Design Show.
The gallery will host TIMELESS, showcasing Lorenzo Petrantoni’s art intertwined with ALU’s systems as well as ABC Mannequins and Nardi chairs.
What use is the body without its components? Without sense, feeling, or emotion? I am just a piece of metal. But add a clamp, or a fixture, and I become a piece of art, an enhancer of beauty, a symbol of sensuality, a very useful item.
I am the Autopole.
After 4 editions, ROAD has chosen Italy as its next stop, and will be at 5 Corso Como in Milan during design week: 14th-19th April 2015.
On the 16th of April, ROAD will host a panel discussion over breakfast, exploring the increasingly unusual, often complex and extraordinarily rich overlaps between art, design and display for a new generation of creative retail visionaries. Moderated by Katie Baron, our expert panel of visual directors, artists and leading retail designers will discuss the new language of visual brand culture for a tech savvy, artistically-hungry community.
ALU’s journey at the first edition of the Retail Design Expo has just ended, and together with visitors from the UK who came by to visit the fair, an international audience confirmed that London is the capital for the European retail design business.
Choosing to highlight their adaptability and knack for customization, ALU’s booth hosted a concentration of their products and systems, showcasing the standard versions as well as some customized finishes.
