Hunter has opened their global flagship store on Regent street, London. The store was designed by Checkland Kindleysides in collaboration with Hunter’s Creative Director Alasdhair Willis.
The designers used ALU’s Slash throughout the store, for various purposes, and had it customized for the system to be red and grey, as well as to be ceiling mounted, to fit the needs of the store.
On the 3rd, 4th and 5th of December, CRAFTED AIR took over the ALU showroom, creating a spectacular sight for retail industry connoisseurs and art fans alike. Jason Hackenwerth’s sculptures “Popped” against the all-white showroom for a contrast that inspired and excited. This, together with a dramatic presentation of ALU’s fixtures, set the stage for an open doors event that was worth waiting for.
On December 3rd, 4th and 5th 2014, come to ALU’s New York Showroom for a breath of fresh air. For the open doors event, ALU will collaborate with renowned contemporary artist, Jason Hackenwerth, going beyond fittings and fixtures, into the realm of art. Jason Hackenwerth’s “air sculptures” will fill the showroom, turning it into a world of fantasy and amazement.

With colorful graphics enhanced by the illumination of Lightboard and collections displayed on the Ophelia Mannequins, the designer has selected the best for her exclusive creations for the exhibitions that took place in 5 Corso Como, Milan.
ALU has chosen to embody a more artistic, emotional approach to its New York showroom for the three days of open doors at the Retail Design Collective 2014. The setup, being designed by a renowned contemporary artist, will turn the showroom into a house of riveting innovation, inspiration and creativity.
On December 4th, at 12:00pm, ALU New York will also host a panel discussion, “Elevating the visuals”, presented by MiND Magazine, on a new creative approach to visual merchandising.
